The first KYKNOS publication, Philosophical Presences in the Ancient Novel, edited by J.R. Morgan and Meriel Jones, is now accessible online and available in hard copy at http://www.ancientnarrative.com/index.html
The volume is a collection of edited papers from the KYKNOS panel held at the Celtic Conference in Classics in Lampeter in 2006.

A second edited volume will follow in early 2009. This will feature the revised versions of papers given at the KYKNOS conference, Lies and Metafiction in Ancient Narrative, held at Gregynog from the 14th to the 16th of July 2007.
The book is being edited by J.R. Morgan and Ian Repath, and has been provisionally entitled Where the Truth Lies: Lies and Metafiction in Ancient Narrative. It will be published as an Ancient Narrative supplementum.

Dr Saiichiro Nakatani has just published the first ever translation into Japanese of the novel ‘Leukippe and Kleitophon’ by Achilles Tatius (Kyoto University Press 2008). Dr Nakatani gained his his PhD from Swansea University in 2005 and is a founder member of KYKNOS; a revised version of his thesis, ‘Achilles Tatius and Beyond’, is to be published in the series of Ancient Narrative Supplementa.
