The KYKNOS Reading Group meets regularly during term-time to read and discuss an ancient text. Meetings are informal and aim to discuss linguistic and literary issues of mutual interest that arise from the close reading of the narratives of the ancient world. In the academic year 2006-7 we read Joseph and Aseneth, and in 2007-8 we read the Life of Aesop.
Meetings are held in the Department of Classics at Swansea University approximately once per fortnight, depending on teaching commitments, and usually on Wednesday afternoons. The convivial atmosphere is helped along by wine and nibbles.
If you would like to be informed of dates and times of meetings, please contact John Morgan (see the Members list in the main menu).
